The 21 Fund

The 21 Fund was founded to honor the memory of Joseph “Joey” Glynn. Joey was a star basketball player at Cardinal Spellman High School where he scored more than 1,000 points and secured a scholarship to play at Bentley University. In June of 2013, Joey passed away during a summer league basketball game, doing what he loved most, playing the game of basketball. During his short time on earth, Joey touched many lives. His loss is mourned an immeasurable amount by family and friends. All who were fortunate enough to know Joey remember him as a friend to all and a leader on and off the court.

To continue Joey’s legacy, a nonprofit foundation was established in March of 2018 by Joey’s family and friends. The 21 Fund will benefit local individuals and families in financial need due to illness or unexpected hardship. Joey’s tremendous ability to love and care for the people in his life motivates the foundation to give back to the people in our community who are in need. Just as Joey would have done, the foundation aims to lend a hand and put smiles on the faces of those who need it most.
